Tapestry Adoption and Foster Care Ministry provides a loving, supportive & authentic community that encourages families along their adoption & foster care journey.  Tapestry serves families throughout the year.  They also host an annual adoption and foster care conference.  We think you will want to be sure to attend Tapestry Conference 2016.

Tapestry Conference 2016

The 2016 Tapestry Adoption & Foster Care Conference is October 21-22 at Irving Bible Church.  Presenters spend the first part of their sessions introducing connected parenting principles and strategies.  Then they will share creative and next level ways to implement those principles and strategies. Kids need parents who are committed to helping them heal and who are willing to be creative in their parenting. Tapestry Conference 2016 equips parents to meet that need.

“Last year we went Back to Basics.  This year we decided to go Beyond the Basics.” – Ryan North, Tapestry Executive Director

The 2016 Tapestry Adoption and Foster Care Conference features Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) trained professionals, Empowered to Connect Parent Trainers, and Occupational Therapists across both days of the event. The Tapestry Adoption & Foster Care Conference was created to help parents, their extended families, counselors, social workers, and foster care and adoption agency staff.

“Tapestry’s annual adoption and foster care conference is a great opportunity for currently licensed foster parents, parents who have already adopted children, and anyone who supports these families to refresh and refine their parenting skills.” – Shannon Bouse, CK Family Services Director of Adoption Services

This year’s conference offers three workshops on Friday, October 21, for families (primary caregivers, extended family, teachers, children’s ministry staff), for professionals, and adoption and foster care ministry leaders.  The format on Saturday, October 22, is more traditional.  It consists of morning and afternoon general sessions, 12 breakout sessions, one lunch session, and a sensory experience that is not to be missed.
