Family in purple shirts at a baseball game

There’s nothing quite like the crack of the bat, the cheer of the crowd, and the smell of ballpark snacks in the air, especially when surrounded by hundreds of smiling faces in purple shirts. This year’s CKFS Day at the Ballpark was a grand slam!

Fan of all ages came together to enjoy baseball and belonging. Children in foster care, foster and adoptive families, kinship caregivers, CKFS staff, and our cherished supporters filled the stands to cheer on the Texas Rangers as they battled it out on the field. The game was fun, including an unforgettable moment at home plate, the snacks were plentiful, and the joy in the crowd was unmistakable.

Made Possible by Generous Hearts

We want to extend our deepest gratitude to the generous sponsors who made this unforgettable day possible. Thanks to your support, families across our community, especially those who sacrifice so much to care for children in need, were able to enjoy a day of fun and celebration. Events like these remind us of the power of coming together for a shared purpose.

Because of your kindness, many children had the opportunity to attend a professional baseball game for the very first time. We watched eyes light up as little ones took in the sights and sounds of the stadium, cheered for the home team, and soaked in the thrill of the game. Your commitment not only lifted spirits for a day, but also helped create lasting joy for families who give so much of themselves every day. Thank you for showing what it looks like when a community rallies to bring hope, healing, and happiness to those who need it most.

As the final pitch was thrown and the sun began to set, the message was clear: this day was about so much more than baseball. It was about community. It was about joy. And it was about reminding each child and family that they are seen, valued, and supported. We can’t wait to do it all again next year!
