Be Prepared: CPR and AED Awareness Week

With a half-million cardiac arrests each year, CPR is a life-saving skill that everyone should know. It’s not just for healthcare workers and emergency responders—when bystanders take action, CPR can triple the chance of survival!  In honor of CPR and AED Awareness Week, take a moment to consider how you can be prepared for the unexpected.

Learning CPR is a crucial step in ensuring the safety of your loved ones and those around you. For families interested in foster care, adoption, or respite care, CK Family Services offers a CPR & First Aid training class at our office locations in Arlington, Plano, and Waco.  This comprehensive 3-hour, in-person class covers CPR & First Aid for adults, children, and infants. Upon completion of the class and passing a written test, participants receive a CPR & First Aid certification card. If you are a foster parent elsewhere, contact your child placing agency Case Management team to ensure compliance with agency rules and regulations before registering for a CPR course.

Whether through our agency or a trainer near you, consider equipping yourself with the knowledge and skills to save a life. Together, we can build a safer community, one heartbeat at a time.
