2022 was a year for the books. On one hand you may wonder, “where did the time go?” but on the other hand we can look back and see how we grew as individuals and as an organization. Before we crunch the numbers and quantify our efforts, let’s highlight where it all started – at home. For us, our home-base is the network of families, donors, and staff members who make the mission possible. Our vision to help heal at-risk children and families begins and ends with our team – so thank you! As we wind down and process all we’ve done and overcome, let’s revisit a few of our favorite memories from this year.
CK on FOX News, April – Jailynn Smiley and Ryan North represented us on FOX 4 news to raise awareness about foster care needs in North Texas.
Luke’s Project, May – Foster family member Luke, based his school project on CK Family Services. He taught his classmates about foster care and raised money to give gifts to other CK foster families.
Leadership Academy Graduation, October – The first leadership academy class officially graduated after completing a rigorous course designed to propel them to the next level of achievers and leaders.
Dallas Back to School Fair, August – CKBH took part in one of the largest free back-to-school events in the DFW to let families know we’re here to help their kiddos’ with their behavioral health.
Plano Potluck, December – Plano office staff members got together for reindeer games and fellowship as we rounded out the year.
North Texas Giving Day, September – Thanks to the generosity of CK Family Services friends, families, and staff we not only met our $20,000 North Texas Giving Day goal but also exceeded it by an additional $700!
Arlington Thanksgiving Potluck, November – Prize winners from the Arlington potluck took home awesome gifts including, AirPods, tumbler and a brand new T.V!
Anniversary Awards, November – Karen and Daniel awarded staff members for their 5, 10, and 20 years of service at CK Family Services.
Go Blue Day, April – On Go Blue Day our staff decked out in royal blue to take a stand against child abuse and raise awareness.
Rangers Game, August – Staff and families got together to enjoy a hot summer’s evening at the ballpark!
