Since opening in 2019, La La Land Kind Café has lived out its vision of prioritizing kindness while giving back to some of the most vulnerable in our community: youth who have aged out of foster care. The café’s paid internship program offers these young adults far more than a job. They gain life skills, housing assistance, access to mental health resources, and holistic support to help them thrive as they step into adulthood.
This “teach a person to fish” philosophy ensures that interns leave with tools and confidence to build a strong future. Over time, the program has expanded into a true support system, empowering participants to grow and succeed beyond the café.

La La Land Kind Café’s newest location has officially opened in McKinney, on Highway 380 at Custer, and it’s already buzzing with life. Bright, beautiful, and full of energy, this shop embodies everything the brand is known for: joy, connection, and kindness.
Right from the start, the atmosphere feels light and welcoming. Their cheerful merchandise is displayed with care, a stunning chandelier hangs inside the atmosphere of gleaming white counters and floor-length windows, and the pastries and drinks look like works of art, almost too pretty to eat. Employees call out “We love you!” as guests leave, a genuine reflection of the café’s mission to spread kindness with every cup.
