Jessica Fielder is an Arlington native who is no stranger to CKFS. Growing up a Lund, she was raised on living room discussions and dinner table talks about caring for those who could not care for themselves. Her family trained her to be a servant, and she has lived out that mission.
She and her high school sweetheart, Ryan, have raised two wonderful kids. Claire is graduating from Baylor and plans to pursue a master’s degree in Speech Pathology. Following in her family’s footsteps, she has worked with CKFS’s Waco office this year, lending her talents to events, recruitment efforts, and community outreach. Their son, Luke, is graduating from high school this month and will head to Abilene Christian University in the fall. When not busy with their kids, they enjoy time at the lake or escaping to the beach.
Jessica helped to shape CK in the early years as one of the first Case Managers and later as a Case Manager Supervisor. She now owns several Primrose Schools. Jessica’s experience and dedication to children have been invaluable assets to the organization from the very start. Speaking about her current involvement, Jessica shares, “My passion for this agency and the success of each foster family and child runs deep. The opportunity to be a part of the board is an honor, and I value being able to give to the agency. I have loved watching the growth and expansion over the years and am honored to have had a role. It has been amazing to watch God’s plans unfold!”
As she looks to the future, she remains confident in the agency’s mission and vision. “Since it was founded by Bill and Karen, CK has been an agency that is innovative and adaptable. I know that as changes are made at the state level, we will continue to adapt and be leaders of positive change. We are good at implementing new programs and leading the way to provide positive outcomes for children.”
