Our recent Hope Ranch gathering was truly something special. With around 100 people attending, CKFS families and staff came together for a day filled with connection, laughter, and fresh air in a beautiful outdoor setting.
From the moment families arrived, there was something for everyone to enjoy. Kids couldn’t get enough of the giant inflatable slides and the hay ride around the property, taking in the peaceful scenery and slowing down for a moment. One of the highlights for many was getting up close with the animals. Children had the chance to pet and interact with llamas, pigs and goats, creating simple but meaningful moments of joy. The giant tractor drew curious kids eager to climb up and take a closer look. Meanwhile, others spent time fishing, enjoying quiet moments by the water or celebrating the excitement of a catch.
Of course, no gathering is complete without good food, and families were able to enjoy a delicious meal together, sharing stories, laughter, and time to simply be present with one another.
What made the day truly meaningful wasn’t just the activities, but the opportunity to slow down, connect, and build community. Events like Hope Ranch remind us how important it is to create space for families to unwind and enjoy time together outside of everyday routines.
We are incredibly grateful to Rush Creek Church for hosting us in such a beautiful space and helping make this day possible. It was a wonderful reminder of the strength and joy found in community, and we’re already looking forward to the next time we gather.
