Building Hope, One Connection at a Time
At CK Family Services, our work doesn’t stop at the office door. Every month, our teams are out in the community doing a host of important and impactful activities. We are recruiting, equipping, and encouraging foster parents; supporting children and families through behavioral health services; ensuring safe and happy homes for children; and partnering with those who share our mission to bring hope and healing.
From school districts to local organizations, churches, and community partners, CKFS is continually finding ways to connect people and resources for the good of children in care and families in need of support.
Our staff can be found everywhere, meeting with prospective foster and adoptive families, collaborating with other child-placing agencies, providing training and education for caregivers and staff, partnering with schools and therapists, strengthening relationships with local companies and ministries, and reaching out through media and events to share our message of hope.
Here’s a peek into some community collaborations this October:
Partnership
Our Children’s Mental & Behavioral Health (CMBH) Program partnered with Arlington ISD, working directly with students and their families to provide behavioral health services, mental health education, and early intervention. Partnerships like this ensure that more children receive the help they need to thrive, right where they are.
Generosity
We were honored to receive a donation from the Lone Star Corvette Club from the summer car show. Their generosity helps fund our programs and expand the reach of our mission. Community supporters like them play a vital role in helping CKFS provide care, resources, and opportunities for children and families across Texas.
Encouragement
We also received a special boost of encouragement from seasoned foster parent Ashley Stevenson, who took time to encourage our Case Management team. Her words were a beautiful, inspirational reminder that the work being done matters deeply to the families we serve.
